Play to Earn

Overview

A Play-to-Earn mechanic is being introduced for WENIS online.  Let’s us explain what and the why.

What:

If you treat any endeavor like a business, it requires capital investments.  WenisOnline has acquired a large number of $WENIS tokens while the prices were reasonable, and intends to leverage these tokens to drive excitement to want to play the game.

Why:

The current model that gaming companies use is to sell games, and that profit will power their business model.  Blockchain changes this radically.  Value will be added to WenisOnline through the memecoin that we selected: the $WENIS token on Solana.

The old way of doing business is stale, their business models are creating worse and worse products because they are about collecting and siphoning revenue from customers.  The quality of the product seems to not matter.  The general idea will be to not only produce games internally, but also enable the community to create their own games.

There are a number of ways to engage the future world of consumers.  Although we are die hard capitalists by nature, we understand that the most value is created through win-win scenarios.  If the model is implemented properly, there will be a very vibrant e-sports scene that will develop on the WenisOnline platform.     Talented gamers should be able to earn money for their skills, and the P2E model above this is the first step.

Future of Gaming is P2E

Communities drive everything.  The legacy gaming studios are dinosaurs and consistently alienate their communities.  Communities form around enjoyment, excitement, and opportunity.

Sure, we all play games for fun, but the classic business models are simply out of date.   In the 2020s, the real currency is attention – we are in the Attention economy, everyone knows this.  The entire purpose of WenisOnline will be to become a self-sustaining model with a positive feedback loop to enable more developers and players to want to leverage the platform, so the ecosystem can flourish not as just an independent gaming studio – but as a full blown metaverse.

Everything should be tied together.  The reason why metaverses fail is because they are driven by those that do not listen to their customers, and do not incentivize their base properly.

Nothing is set in stone: the models, calculations and approach will likely be refined in the coming months as we get feedback from the community, and solicit feedback from trusted people.
